Embarking on your healing journey is no small task. It is my hope that you feel seen, safe and emboldened in your connections through our work together. You can expect me to be honest, compassionate, humorous, and deeply curious with you on your journey towards you and your family’s goals. I come with a socio-emotional approach, which looks at the ways our relating to others and ourselves has been shaped by culture and context. Slowly untangling our own stories from the stories we’ve been told about who we are is done through a steady, gentle, compassionate and collaborative rhythm.
I have over a decade of work in community building & mediation and have always been passionately curious of how we relate, rupture, repair and transform. I am a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University’s Marriage and Family Therapy program and have commitment towards a Socio-Emotional Relational Therapeutic lens. I am also a musician (cellist and vocalist) and feel so much resonance between the world of therapy and music. I live in an intergenerational home and am a parent of a young child. That living in relationship is hard but worth it is a truth that lives in my bones.
I work primarily with people in relationships: couples, parents and their children (+13 to adulthood), intergenerational, families of all shapes and sizes, and friendships. I am a queer and polyamorous affirming therapist and have an expansive and emergent definition of family. I also work with individuals on a wide variety of issues and goals including anxiety, depression and life transitions.
